As we age, gravity takes its most obvious toll on our faces. Over time, we all experience a loss of skin elasticity, tissue volume, and muscle tone of the face and neck. If you have developed facial and neck wrinkles, deep creases between the base of your nose and the corners of your mouth (frequently referred to as “parentheses”), or the appearance of jowls, a facelift can help turn back the clock.
Dr. Fryer prides himself on remarkable facelift results in his state-of-the-art surgical facility in Salt Lake City. Dr. Fryer carefully and skillfully creates a more rested and youthful contour to the face and neck that helps you look as young as you feel. Good facelift results do not change your appearance, they simply help you look younger, and more rested.
Facelifts usually include necklifts to help improve the aesthetic appearance of your neck. Other procedures that are often performed in conjunction with facelifts include: open brow lift, endoscopic brow lift, blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), midface lift, cheek and chin augmentation, and chemical peels. Dr. Fryer’s goal is to provide you with individualized solutions to your facial aging concerns and produce the beauty and confidence that you desire. Each of these procedures is performed with precision and exactness in his Salt Lake City surgery center.
After surgery, you return home with dressings which are usually removed the next day. Minimal initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. Sutures are removed within 14 days. Bruising and swelling decrease to “socially acceptable” levels in 10 to 20 days. The final result of a facelift procedure is evident in 4 to 6 weeks or sooner, with continued improvement for several months.
A facelift is considered cosmetic and is therefore not covered by insurance.
The specific risks and the suitability of facelift (rhytidectomy) procedure can be determined only during your free consultation with Utah plastic surgeon Dr. Fryer. All surgical procedures have some degree of risk, although major complications are unusual.
